Welcome to our first Rarities Auction, consisting solely of individual stamps or sets.

Highlights of this sale include:
NZ 1949 Vanguard.
Reconstructed sheet of 240 GB Penny Blacks.
GB VR 1d Black.
Extensive range of NZ Queen Victoria Longtypes.
Good range of NZ sidefaces, some believed to be unique.

This special sale proceeds our major Coin, Banknote & Medal Auction at 1pm, the largest ever held in New Zealand.

With two exceptions, all lots have a reserve of 70% of estimate, making for attractive buying. Don't miss this occasion to add that elusive item or two to your collection. If you wish to exceed your usual budget, please contact us, prior to the auction, to arrange extended credit.

March is a busy month for us at Mowbray Collectables, with our usual monthly auction, this Rarities Stamp Auction, NZ's biggest Numismatic Auction, and our attendance at the Melbourne 2017 Stamp Exhibition where we have a double stand.

My thanks to all our 15 staff who have worked so hard to prepare for these events.
